The Food Metrics Report

What is The Food Metrics Report?

For over two years, we’ve tracked food prices in select local markets, reporting fluctuations and comparing market prices with PricePally prices.

In that time, the PricePally Price Index has gotten 1000s of engagement and 100s of feedback.

Now, we’re repackaging the Price Index into the Food Metrics Report. A concise, comprehensive  general data source to measure food trends in PricePally operating locations.

The Food Metrics Report will be a quarterly downloadable report presenting food trends and the impacts on Nigerians’ spending pattern.

We’re glad to share the first volume of the Food Metrics Report. Click the link below to see the report. Stay tuned as we bring you more editions!

Between January and June 2024, we tracked the prices of food staples such as rice, beans, yam, and garri. Likewise, we surveyed hundreds of Nigerians to know how the rising costs of food items affected their spending patterns.

The answers are here.
